Update on September 13: Impact of Typhoon Gaemi on Trails and Attractions in Areas Managed by the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration

Introduce

⟣ Shuishe Dam to Crescent Bay Section, and Various Piers:
🔹Open Areas:
1. Shuishe Dam - Xiangshan Trail, Wedding Plaza, Crescent Bay Trail
2. Shuishe - Some sections of the Chaowu Pier Trail: Hazardous areas have been marked with warning tapes and traffic cones for safety.
3. Xiangshan Overlook Platform and the Viewing Platform of Lalu: Four warning signs have been placed due to slope slippage. Please be mindful of your safety and pass through as quickly as possible.

⟣ Checheng Area:
🔹Open Areas:
Checheng Recreation Area, Mingtan Trail, Bikeway from Checheng to Shuili, Waterfront Trail, Log Pond Trail, Tung Blossom Trail, Minquan Alley at the North and South Entrances, Railway Sightseeing School Plaza, Visitor Center: Fallen trees and leaves have been cleared.
🔸Temporarily Closed:
Shuishalian Historic Trail

⟣Ita Thao and Surrounding Areas:
🔹Open Areas:
Ita Thao Pier Plaza and Visitor Center, Takrahaz Water Bikeway, Trail Connecting Cable Car Station to Nine Frog Stack Viewing Platform, Shuiwatou Trail, Xuanguang Pier Plaza, Trail from Xuanguang Pier to Xuanzang Temple, Qinglong Mountain Trail, Nanbian Lake Trail, Ci’en Pagoda Trail (some sections are single-lane only), Boshan Ridge Trail, Toushe Bikeway
🔺Severely Damaged, Closed in the Short Term:
Shuishe Dashan Trail, Toushe Houjian Mountain Trail, Shuishalian Historic Trail, Old Ita Thao to Cable Car Station Waterfront Trail
