Introduce
- Scheduled construction period for the Sun Moon Lake Bamboo Weaving Art and Design Competition: November 7, 2025 to January 15, 2026
The main construction area will be along the bikeway near Chaowu Wharf, as shown in the red box on the map. Please follow on-site instructions. Visitors are asked not to enter the construction zone and to comply with all signs and staff directions. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
- Xiangshan Visitor Center (Exhibition Hall 3) Immersive Theater is scheduled for construction, closed from November 10, 2025 to April 30, 2026. During the closure period, visitors are asked not to enter the construction zone and to follow on-site signs and staff instructions. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
- The Erping Mountain Trail will be completely closed from October 20 to December 12, 2025, for improvement works. Visitors are advised not to enter the construction area. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Elevated Cycling Path Project Linking the Year-of-Steps Trail to Songbolun Trail: Sections of the Sun Moon Lake Cycling Route and Year-of-Steps Trail will be closed for construction. Renovation of the Existing Waterfront Trail at Ita Thao: The trail beside Ita Thao Shopping Street is closed at both ends. Visitors are requested not to enter the construction area. Cien Pagoda Rear Mountain Supply Road Improvement Project:The trail entrance on the right side, approximately 1 kilometer from Lake-circling Tunnel No. 1 toward Cien Pagoda, is currently closed. Lakeshore Cycling Path Slope Stabilization Project:Due to ongoing construction, the cycling path has partial lane closures (reduced width) at the entrance to the Lalu Viewing cycling path behind Xiangshan and at the curve from Shuishe Pier toward Jiulongkou. Due to pipeline and facility improvement works at the Sun Moon Lake gas station, operations will be temporarily suspended starting May 12, 2025. The construction is expected to take approximately 6 to 8 months, with completion anticipated as early as the end of 2025 or as late as February 2026. During this period, visitors are advised to refuel their vehicles at the nearby Yuchi or Shuili stations. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. - An improvement project for the Toushe Reservoir water pipeline, patrol trail, and surrounding facilities is underway. The park area is subjected to phased closures.
