Introduction
Established in 1987, New Era Art is Asia’s first sculpture garden. The works of three famous Taiwanese sculptors - Lin Yuan, Yuyu Yang, and Zhu Ming are on display here. Founder Huang Ping-sung noted that the three artists were all born in the Year of the Bull, and thus the place was named “New Era” (the name is pronounced similarly to “bull” in Mandarin). Haung said that by showcasing the three devoted artists’ works, he hopes New Era Art can be a pioneering site of art.
Integrating art and local culture, the works of Lin Yuan are many in New Era Art. Lastly, visitors are also encouraged to try creative cuisine made with locally produced passion fruits.
