Introduction

The graceful Sun Moon Lake was once dwelled by indigenous Ita Thao people. Surrounded by mountains and traveled by boats, the misty lake seemed like a mysterious paradise on Earth, as Ita Thao people performed their daily tasks and sang.

Yuansu Inn is built by Ita Thao people. With a strong indigenous style, it uses owls as mascots. In fact, “owl” as a decorative element can be found on the inn’s sign and the lobby’s paintings. Wood which indicates nature and colorful traditional totems give the inn a refreshing feel.

The inn’s guest rooms are named after old indigenous terms. The rooms’ French windows reveal the mesmerizing scenery outside, which alternates in different hours of a day. Many guests say they enjoy the tranquility and comfort of the rooms.
