2026 Qingming Festival Long Weekend (April 3–6) – Traffic Control Notice

Traffic control measures will be implemented on major roads during the 2026 Qingming Festival long weekend (April 3–6).

Details

I. Roadside Parking Prohibited – Times and Sections

1. Time:

  • April 3 to April 6, 2026 (Qingming Festival holiday)
  • Daily from 09:00 to 17:00 (subject to adjustment based on on-site conditions)

2. Sections:

  • Provincial Highway 21, from 60K+500 to 64K+300(between Jiulong Intersection and Shuishe Dam), 2-lane sections.

II. Roadside Parking Permitted – Times and Sections

1. Time:

  • April 3 to April 6, 2026
  • Daily from 09:00 to 17:00 (subject to adjustment based on on-site conditions)

2. Sections:

  • Provincial Highway 21, from 64K+500 toward Toushe(outer lanes of the 4-lane section)
    Note: Parking is prohibited within 50 meters before and after tunnel entrances, and inside tunnels.
  • Provincial Highway 21, from 60K+500 (Jiulong Intersection) to Manhuang Café (蠻荒咖啡), outer lanes of the 4-lane section

III. Vehicle-Restricted Zones (Pedestrian Areas) – Times and Sections

1. Shuishe Area, Yuchi Township:

  • Time: April 3–6, daily 09:00–17:00 (subject to adjustment)
  • Section: Mingsheng Street
  • Exceptions: Vehicles carrying elderly passengers, pregnant women, or persons with disabilities; vehicles with permits issued by the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration; and vehicles of local residents or businesses transporting essential goods.

2. Ita Thao Area, Yuchi Township:

  • Time: April 3–6, daily 09:00–17:00 (subject to adjustment)
  • Sections:
    • Yiyong Street
    • Shuishalian Street
    • Riyue Street (intersection with Shuixiu Street)
    • Wenhua Street (intersection with Dehua Street)
    • Dehua Street (intersection with Wenhua Street)
    • Magaidan Street (between Yiyong Street and Riyue Street)

IV. General Regulations

Traffic control will be enforced in the above areas.
Except for official and emergency vehicles, all other vehicles are prohibited from entering restricted zones.
