For Fong-Long Bus Company, the bus fare to Taipei is NT$500. For Kuo-Kuang, NT$480 on weekdays, and NT 420 on weekends and holidays.

There are three ways to take the boat. 1.For individuals, the boat fare is NT 300 per person, and you have to wait for others until the boat is about full of passengers. 2.For groups, you can charter a boat, and the fare depends on the boat types: A : For 21-50 persons, the fare of a new boat is NT 7700, a wooden boat NT4340. B : For 12-20 persons, the fare of a new boat is NT 4100, a wooden boat NT2120. C : For 6-11 persons, the fare of a new boat is NT 2270, a wooden boat NT1170. D : For 2-5 persons, the fare of a new boat is NT 1500, a wooden boat NT770. 3.A rowboat for 2 persons, the fare is NT 200 per hour.

There are many beautiful spots worth visiting at the Sun Moon Lake Scenic Area. But if you don't have enough time to visit all of them, I would suggest you visit at least one pagoda, one hiking trail and one temple. The Ci-en Pagoda is the spot that you have to visit. You can enjoy the panoramic view of Sun Moon Lake from the top of the pagoda.

The buses of Kuo-Kuang (Kingbus) to Taipei are at 7:20, 8:20, 14:20, 16:20, and Fong-Long on the half hour of every hour from 05:30 to 21:30.

Besides taking the round-the-lake bus, you can rent a motorbike or bicycle or take a boat trip around the lake.

They are Cih-en Pagoda, Suan-guang Temple and Mei-ho Garden. You can enjoy the fireflies, the amazing night view and the peaceful atmosphere there. We cannot arrange the itinerary for you during the night hours, though.
