The famous Jiji Green Tunnel connects the Mingjin and Jiji townships, it's also a 4.5km long road with camphor trees on the sides. According to the local elderly, in order to take care of those camphor trees planted in 1940, they had to fetch water from the lake everyday so that they do not result as withered trees. Now the trees have flourished to provide shadows for the benefits of bike riders. It is particularly enjoyable during steamy summer days and truly reinforces the saying “One generation plants the trees, another gets the shade!” It feels especially poetic when the tourist train slowly passes by on the tourism railway, and this tunnel is a great spot where tourists can take photos.
