General Info
Introduction

The 3.5-km bikeway starts from Shuishe Pier and extends all the way to the Sun Moon Lake in the north, passing by Chaowu Pier, Zhushi Garden, and Wenwu Temple. Some sections provides views of Hanbi Peninsula and Shuishe Pier. It is easy to ride on and thus suitable for all.

Shuishe Waterfront Hiking Trail is on the left of Shuishe Pier. It is an important pedestrian path which links up Shuishe Pier and Jioulongkou. The trail is fully accessible to the physically challenged and both elders and kids can easily walk on it. The wooded trail passes through Chaowu Pier before directly reaching Jioulongkou.

The trail is so much embraced by trees that visitors won't sweat when exploring it. There are small pots to rest along the way, as well as views to be enjoyed. Look at the little boats on the lake or the sunshine glittering on water surface like silver and gold dropping into the lake. When it is misty, the Xuanzang Temple of Qinglong Mountain looks nostalgically charming like something from a Chinese painting. And Ci'en Pagoda on Shabalan Mountain stands firm in all angles like a rare sword protecting the Sun Moon Lake.
