Origins: Longfeng Temple was originally located at Shuishe, but was relocated to Beidan due to the construction of hydroelectric power facilities in 1934. The original location of the Yue Lao Shrine was Kuanghwa Island (now renamed as Lalu Island). After being damaged in an earthquake, the Yue Lao Shrine was moved next to the Longfeng Temple.
