Tannan Section, Sun Moon Lake Bikeway

Tannan, a tribe of indigenous Takibakha, acquired its name because it is located on the southwest of the Sun Moon Lake. Tannan Bikeway starts from the lake, going southward along Provincial Highway 21 to Zhuoshui River, and switching to Provincial Highway 16 upstream before taking Nantou Highway 97. After passing through Tannan at the foot of Shuishe Main Mountain in the north, the bikeway finally extends back to the Sun Moon Lake. Tannan Bikeway allows people to get close to nature while enjoying a few hilly sections. The bikeway is suitable for those who do regular cycling exercises or embrace challenges.
