Day1
This 40-hectare scenic area, situated at an elevation of around 1,600 meters, has a moderate monsoonal climate and primeval mountain forests, and offers a view of Mt. Hehuan in the distance. There are campgrounds and wooden cottages for overnight accommodation. A variety of flowers blossom all year round, and maple leaves turn a brilliant red in the autumn. Xitou is located in the Phoenix hill of Lugu village, and is embraced by mountains from three sides. Its name is derived from the Chinese meaning: the origin of the river (Beishi River). Xitou has plenty of rains, and is cool and moist all the year round. Therefore, it is one of the most famous resort spots in summer and the most romantic place for new couples to spend their honeymoons. -

Shuili Snake Kiln Ceramics Cultural Park is the town where remains the eldest tradition of kiln-making. There is a biggest kiln work which is in the Guinness Book of Records by the size of 6.68 meters. In this area, there are 921 Earthquake Memorial, Guinness Book of Records-pottery information center, coffee shop, the civilization center, multi-media center, the mold room, the art room, and the pottery room.Linear Distance:6.81km
Xiangshan Visitor Center is both for tourism and administration use. The uniquely designed building has wood-patterned exteriors and wings that stretch like human arms embracing the earth. In addition, the two giant canopy structures, 34 meters long and 8 meters tall each, allow people to enjoy beautiful views of Sun Moon Lake from the top.Linear Distance:14.52km
Puli is at the center of Taiwan. With an elevation between 380~700 meters, Puli is a basin surrounded by rising & falling mountains, hills and farmland. The most famous tourist spots include the Puli Brewery Factory, Guang Xing Paper Mill, and Chung Tai Chan Monastery; its special products (fine food) are wild rice stems, passion fruit, red sugar canes, rice-noodles, and Shaoxing wine.
