The exhibition hall used to be the timber industry factory during the colonial period. It now exhibits the history of the timber industry after reconstruction financed by the government. The building is also famous for the construction style which combines the now and the past. It won the Taiwan Architecture Award in 2009. Visitors not only can buy wooden handicrafts here but also make some on their own.

The Timber Pond was used to store the logs which were chopped down from the mountains. By soaking the logs in the water, their life can be extended. Now you can walk on the trail around the pond and see the beautiful scenery, or sit beside it to enjoy the comforting breeze.

Jiji is located on the north of Zhuoshui River. It is the smallest administrative district in Taiwan. However, Jiji is one of the hottest tourist attractions in recent years because of the promotion of tourist train. Along the Jiji railway, there are beautiful scenery and ancient buildings. The railway is 29.7 km in length, starting from Ershui and passing Yuanquan, Zhuoshui, Longquan, Jiji, Shuili and Checheng.
