Certification for the 2021 Year of Bicycle Tourism
Introduce
According to the Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, 2021 is the Year of Bicycle Tourism. In conjunction, Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration has just launched a “certification system” for cyclists, as a way to promote the lake’s seasonal scenery and nearby attractions. Prizes will be given by the season - once a cyclist completes the designated ride and relevant missions, he or she can get a special key ring.
About bicycle certification in the spring
30km-long, rather hilly especially from Jioulongkou to Yunping. We suggest the cyclist park his or her car (for free) at Xiangshan Visitor Center Parking Lot, and start the journey from there (clockwise). The cyclist is requested to take one photo respectively at Longfeng Temple, Wenwu Temple, and Xuanzhang Temple, with his or her bicycle in the photo. The photos must clearly show what the locations are.

About bicycle certification in the spring
From January 1 to March 31, 2021, upon completing the designated route, uploading a total of four photos on the route taken and places visited to Facebook, and tag #2021 Year of Bicycle Tourism in a post accessible to all, the cyclist will be given a certification prize. Please note that the staff members of Xiangshan / Puli Visitor Centers will examine the post to see if everything is in place. The prizes will be given on a first come, first served basis, at a limited number. Each Facebook account is entitled to just one prize.
