The Lushan Hot Springs, located in Nantou County's Renai Township, are among Taiwan's largest hot springs. The springs are of an alkaline carbonic acid base, originating from changing rock layers. The pH content ranges from eight to ten. Eggs and noodles can be boiled in the springs, and when eggs are boiled at the source of the springs, you will notice that once the egg yolk is cooked, the egg white takes on a distinctive round shape. In addition, the scenery here is beautiful. During the summer, one can come here to avoid the heat, and in winter, one can come here to enjoy the piping hot springs. In response to national demand, there are many hot springs hotels here in Lushan, most of which provide a hot springs swimming pool. These hot springs have two sources, an old source and a new source, each with their own characteristics. The waters reach a temperature of 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and it only takes a few minutes to boil the delicious hot springs eggs. The landscape here is beautiful, and ideal for drinking tea, one of life's great pleasures.
