Aowanda
Aowanda
As the season moves well into autumn, Aowanda takes on a red appearance, and on both sides of the forest paths, maple leaves can be seen fluttering in the wind. While walking through this area, one can hear the sounds of autumn blending with the secluded valley stream in perfect rhythm. The enticing scenery cannot be described in words. This is the best place in the country for viewing maple trees.

In fact, all four seasons bring different scenery to Aowanda. February to September is the best time to escape the heat, take a forest bath, and enjoy the flowers. Fireflies come out in May. Website visitors are advised to avoid the large, jostling crowds of the autumn and winter vacations and weekends. The best times to come are during the weekdays and in the spring and summer.

【Bihu (Jade Lake) 】
Bihu Lake is also known as Wanda Reservoir, and it is the water source that provides Sun Moon Lake with electric power. Tall mountains rise steeply, and there are dense forests on both sides of the shore. The greenery and blue sky reflect on the surface of the lake. During the early mornings and the afternoons, this is especially apparent. Every season brings different appearances, each of them more beautiful than one can take in.
