Of all the recreation and vacation places in the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area, the Sun Moon Lake Youth Activity Center, with its quiet and tasteful layout, has the best landscape planning, and is the closest to nature. There are 24 classically elegant forest log cabins at the center, with full facilities. They provide the best place for recreational and vocational teaching, meetings, tourism, and mountain-valley enjoyment. They can accommodate 484 persons. 

【Butterfly Garden】
This garden, located in the Youth Activity Center, has a netted butterfly cage, beetles, and aquatic ecology pool, all with detailed explanatory signs. It is Sun Moon Lake’s best nature-ecology classroom.
